Premiership Vultures descended on Pride Park at the weekend. Representatives from Middlesbrough, Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland and Leeds United were at Pride Park to witness the Rams 1-1 draw with Gillingham and to look over goods in the Rams winter sale.
Talks about a 3-month loan of Malcolm Christie and Chris Riggott continue today at Pride Park but the opinion is that Boro’s offer will be rejected. Middlesbrough are said to have offered a final payment after the loan spell of just £3million for the pair.
Steve Maclaren is hopeful of taking former Rams Seth Johnson to the Riverside from Leeds United. Johnson has failed to hold down a regular first team place since his £7million move from Pride Park.
