Central defender Dave Walton has been given permission by Rams boss George Burley to feature in a friendly for Burnley tomorrow against Dundee United.
Although not expressing a desire to leave Pride Park Walton, who managed only a handful of first team appearances last term through injury, has been told by the Derby boss that he is surplus to requirements and should look for a new club to satisfy his desire for senior football.
Walton still has a year of his contract to run.
The Rams came through their first public fixture, the 2 – 1 defeat against Norwegian side Konsvinger, with everything apart from pride intact with the exception of Danish midfielder Morton Bisgaard.
Bisgaard picked up what is described as "a slight hip injury" in the game.
The only other doubt concerns Bosnian central defender Mo Konjic who was forced to sit out the game becauser of swelling round his knee
