The first of what could be many personel changes has started just three days after the season ended.
Attacking midfielder Ward has had his problems with hamstring injuries and at 28 injuries may have been on the mind of the Derby Manager.
Ward had a new two year deal with the Rams just eight months ago in August 2014 Ward made 148 appearances for Derby County and scored 34 goals.
