Derby County have unearthed a great talent in 17 year old Will Hughes but reports beginning to come through are linking him already with a move to Arsenal. The talented midfielder has also attracted interest from Manchester City and Liverpool but it is Arsenal who are said to have sent scouts to take a look at Hughes and they like what they see.
Derby County are also reported to be looking to make £1.8m in January, the exact reason for the amount is not clear, or why the Rams need to bring this amount in. They did spent £1.2m on striker Connor Sammon during the last transfer window and there may be a need to balance the books. The Rams are almost certain to ask a transfer fee of around £3m for the youngster but would be hoping a bidding war between the Premiership elite would bring much more for Hughes.
Meanwhile Hughes is over the moon to be named in the England U21 squad and hopes to be the second youngest player to take to the field in England history at this level...
