Derby County have called a postponement to the work permit hearing for Yakubu Aiyegbeni.

The hearing should have taken place tomorrow (Thursday 18^th July) but the Rams have called a halt to proceedings to look for more evidence on behalf of Yakubu.

The news may add fuel to the rumours of sever financial difficulties at the club and could effectively end any prospects of signing the 19 year old Nigerian. A deal had been hammered out with his present club Maccabi Haifa of Israel.

Bankers have said that no more cheques can be signed until players have been sold. Further bad news (depending how you look at it) is that Everton have effectively pulled out of any transfer deal regarding Mart Poom.

The Rams are rumoured to have asked £7million for the Estonian International but Everton are now chasing Recber Rustu (£5million) who kept goal superbly for Turkey in last months World Cup.
