Derby County are rumoured to be looking into non-league sources for the new crop of young players. One player in particular that is thought to be high on the wanted list is Ashley Williams. The 18 year-old is currently playing his games for Hednesford Town and is primarily a defender but at only 5 feet 9 inches tall may well be being looked at for a different role. He is described as being able to play in a variety of positions.
One former member of the Rams squad is enjoying life with Williams and the Pitmen. Kevin Francis the 6ft 7-inch giant was with the Rams from February 1989 till February 1991.
