After missing a fair chunk of last seasons Premiership campaign,
Brian O'Neil must sit out this seasons opening game against the Royals.
O'Neil who only featured in 17 games since his arrival at the club some 15 months ago has a thigh muscle injury. The injury was picked up when playing a significant midfield role in the pre-season friendly against Notts County.
Another player that will not be featuring in this Saturdays match is
Luciano Zavagno. He may be out for up to two months with a knee injury picked up in pre-season training.
Better news for the Rams is the recovery of defender
Chris Riggott. He injured a groin muscle and missed the Rams last game against Lazio at Pride Park. Riggott is expected to be fully fit for the weekend.
