Derby County reserves 2 Forest reserves 3

Derby County reserves crashed to a humiliating 3-2 defeat to arch rivals Nottingham Forest last night at Burton Albion’s Eton Park ground.

Forest took an early lead with a goal from Mikael Antoine-Curier in the 12^th minute. However the Rams came back strongly and in the 35^th minute Izale McLeod scored his first goal for the Rams reserves. Mcleod doubled his tally for the reserves just two minutes later as he headed a cross from Adam Murray past the helpless Roche in the Forest goal.

The Rams kept the lead until 16 minutes before the end of the match. Jay Birch, a substitution for the Reds pulling the visitors level with a shot from the edge of the area.

The game looked like ending in a draw as the clock showed the 90 minutes were up. Forest had other ideas as a free kick was floated into the penalty area and Antoine-Curier rose to head his second goal of the game and take home the three points.
