Coventry City served up a Christmas cracker against Derby to make it three wins out of three.
Gary McAllister led the way with a stunning volley on the half-hour mark and Craig Hignett and Jay Bothroyd made the game safe with goals either side of half time.
Derby had the better of the opening exchanges and pegged back the home side early on.
Chris Riggott came close to opening the scoring in the tenth minute as he managed to divert Ian Evatt's flick goalwards, beating Morten Hyldgaard.
But Irishman Barry Quinn had taken up a position on the goal-line and cleared the danger.
Quinn was again in the thick of things as he got in the way of a shot from the impressive Izale McLeod. From the resulting flag-kick, Stephen Elliott powered a header just over the bar.
Coventry had not managed a single shot at goal until McAllister volleyed them into the lead after half-an-hour.
The ball dropped to the player-boss 25 yards from goal after Warren Barton headed Quinn's cross clear. The veteran midfielder struck a sweet shot which dipped under the bar for his eighth goal of the season and one of the best of his career.
That sparked a pitch invasion from a female streaker, who ran straight to Bosnian defender Mo Konjic and gave him a Christmas kiss.
Derby almost struck back straight away but Hyldgaard made a superb save from Lee Morris at point-blank range.
Hignett doubled City's lead in the 35th minute. The on-loan forward latched on to Riggott's misplaced defensive header and fired into the net via the crossbar from the edge of the box.
Derby started the second period on the front foot but Hyldgaard was looking unbeatable. He palmed away Malcolm Christie's effort after the highly-rated striker stole a yard from Richard Shaw.
Christie did eventually get the ball in the net in the 50th minute from five yards but he was adjudged offside by the referee's assistant.
And Coventry made them pay as they grabbed their third goal of the afternoon within three minutes.
Hignett set Jay Bothroyd clear and the former Arsenal striker controlled with his left foot before drilling his shot past Grant with his right from just inside the box.
